Handmade die cut greetings card: “You’re in the birdhouse now”

Description I absolutely LOVE this handmade ‘new home’ card. I love everything about it! The colours, the contrast, the combination of different cutting dies – it’s one of my favourites! This was a fiddly card to make, but I found it quite relaxing to do. I die cut the tree twice – once in brown pearlised cardstock, and again in turquoise. Then, using a scalpel, I painstakingly removed the leaves from the turquoise tree and glued them to the brown tree. Then, I die cut a little birdhouse from a beautiful coppery orange pearlised cardstock, and affixed this to the tree along with a little bird cut from bronze-coloured pearlised card. Then, I affixed the entire ensemble to a piece of beautiful shocking pink and orange patterned cardstock, and then affixed this to a white A6-sized greetings card. Finally, I stamped ‘cartref newydd’ in black ink onto a die cut rectangle of orange card, and affixed this to the patterned card under the tree. This handmade new home card measures approximately 10.5cm x 15cm, is supplied with a white envelope, and is protected by a cellophane bag.
